This is a copy of the last Will & Testament of Catherine CROOKS (nee HUTCHESON). Catherine was born in 1867 (TBC) and died on 14 August, 1955. She married James William Maryon CROOKS on 7 August, 1889 in Lawrence Vale Church, Launceston, Tasmania.

This is a copy of the last Will & Testament of Brighty Cecelia TOLSON (nee MURPHY). Brighty was born in 1851 (TBC) and died on 13 April, 1919. She married James William Maryon CROOKS on 23 July, 1874 in "the house of Mr Dutch, Warwick Street Hobart, Tasmania".

Joseph BEDFORD was transported to Tasmania on the ship "Tortoise" which arrived on 19 February 1842. He had been tried at Northampton and sentenced to transportation for life for shooting a person who subsequently died. This document consists of extracts from the "Northampton Herald" of the time reporting the crime and trial.

Matthew Frederick PEARCE was born in 1810 (TBC) and died in 1884 (TBC). He married Lillias HEPBURN on 14 September 1846. He was Ruby Isola BEDFORD's Great Grandfather

Cyril John REID was born 9 September 1882 in Westbury, Tasmania. He married Ruby Isola BEDFORD on 8 September 1909 in St. Marks Church at Pontville, Tasmania. He died, tragically in a motorcycle accident on 16 February 1921, aged only 39, and leaving 5 young children, one of whom was my mother. This document contains contemporary newspaper accounts of the accident

Robert William HEPBURN RN, JP was born 28 January 1782 in Jamaica and died on 7 February 1866 in Fingal, Tasmania. He was my Great Great Great Great Grandfather. This document is a letter from the Archives Office of Tasmania setting out some details of his life in Tasmania.
