Crooks Family Trees (Version 2 - 16 June 2002)
The Crooks family covered here are descended from Charles Crooks (dob c. 1793) and John Tolson (dob c. 1823)
on my father's side and Alexander Reid (dob early 1800's), John Bedford (dob early 1700's) and William Hepburn (dob 1673) on my mother's side.
Information has been collected from a number of sources which are included in the citations. I have had a lot of great help from my uncle John Crooks, my cousins Helen Thomas (nee Crooks) and Deb Higgs (nee Reid) and my 3rd cousin Andrea Marks. Many thanks also to Anthony Fletcher (of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia - ex-Launceston, but still Tasmanian) for copious amounts on the Hepburn line.
This is the second version published on the web - changes are:
- A lot of new information about Bedford line and the Hepburn line added
- Some new information on the Crooks line - back one generation
- Cleaned up some existing data based on feedback from various people
- Many new names were added - they are bolded in the list below
