Please do not write to me asking for further information


Many years ago I put this web site together in order that the *descendants of convicts*  be able contact each other directly by email to share information. .

· A convict may be claimed more than ONE person. Those convicts who have been claimed by other people are underlined. Click on the convicts name it will take you directly to a blank email form with the claimant's email address already filled out.



· Details required to claim a convict

Year arrived and where  ie PJ, VDL, NI, WA, Vic
Ship:
Place tried and year:
Sentence:
Age, if known (This is usually the age on arrival)

Please advise me by email when you update your email address and I will update the details from my end and please don't forget to advise name of convict and ship on which they arrived and both your old and new email address.


You will appreciate that as I provide this web site at my own expense and have no outside sponsors  there are certain limitations, so I ask that you

do not:

Send me private emails requesting information about your convict or how to research. If you would like to know more about convicts and research, please feel free to join my Rootsweb Port Jackson Convicts Mailing List.--but please remember that it is not a look up service.

Please don't expect an email of acknowledgement for any claim/s--you will find them added within a few days.

Please don't send me *attachments* or a long story about the convicts you wish to claim.

I am not prepared to list convicts for those who are conducting a one name study, OR those who are researching all the convicts who arrived on one transport OR the convicts who were all tried at a particular court OR one who is not connected to your family.

I only attach email addresses and do not attach web site addresses to convicts.

I would rather people do not claim a convict if they are not sure if they are connected to that convict.



I reserve the right not to add any claims should I feel that they will not be in the best interests of this web site.
