Le groupe Jalsa Creole of Sydney made such a great impact at its participation at the Charity Weekend organized by the Uruguay Consulate; it was big and over three nights Friday 29, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 July. Nearly all the cultural groups of Sydney showed up at the “Festival of Cultures” held at Hoxton Park.

The Creole Heritage Centre of Sydney has been set up to research, document, preserve and promote the Creole culture. It also aims at providing technical assistance to any organisation in the accomplishment of projects associated with its mission of preserving the Creole culture and heritage. It is also a linking point (Secretariat) for Creole organisations from East to West, North and South.
