Want to buy Cell Phones – Critical Factors to consider

  • Style
    • Find the type of cell phones fits your life style, such as size, looks, weight, style, ergonomics, robustness, hands free option, screen size and life of the battery;
    • Identify the basic features that you want in your phone, eg basic phone features, camera, e-mail functions, diary, address books;
    • Include ‘the nice to have’ functions that you may like to have in your phone, but not essentials such as camera, e-mail.
  • Service Providers
    • Look for a service provider that has the better coverage of your need for example if you travel a lot overseas, you may want a larger global footprint;
    • Compare their service plans, such as talk time;
    • Transmission technology.
  • Budget
    • How much do you want to spend on the phone?
    • How much do you want to spend monthly on your plan?
    • How do want to pay for a monthly charge for a phone and service plan?
    • Do you want to pre-pay the service in advance?
  • Contract
    • Make sure that you understand the details of the contract;
    • Clarify any items that are important to you;
    • Understand any penalty for contract exit before expiry.
