| Lift Kits | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I
first started making these kits about 12 years ago. They have been refined
and well and truly tested since then. Over the time I have fitted and/or
sold more kits than I can remember. I fit and use these kits myself on my
entire off road vehicles, from the humble beach runner to my gymkhana racecars.
These kits are VERY strong and given that they are fitted correctly they
will give no troubles at all. |

Wheels
and Tyres
|
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The
obvious thing most people want to do with their older Subes is put 14”
or 15” wheels on them. Well, now there is a simple way. I can supply an
adapter that will fit straight on your old hubs and will take Liberty
stud pattern. The adapter and Liberty wheel actually have a closer to
standard offset than the “Sunraysia” type steel rims, and the old favourite
“Marquis” alloy wheel. This
also gives you the option of going to 16 and even 17” or bigger wheels
for those “streeter” types with low profile rubber. Liberty
Alloy wheels can be picked up very cheaply from most auto wreckers. Even
WRX rims can be bought at a reasonable price these days. Some of the new
Forrester and Liberty mags are very nice and will make your car look 100%
better. |

| Engine Transplants | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The
obvious transplant of choice these days is the EJ20 MPFI Quad cam turbo
from either the WRX or the Liberty RS. There has been plenty of documentation
on the fitting of the engine, but a quick run down is as follows.
The
EJ20T is not the only engine swap worth doing. The EJ18 SPFI and constant
box is a very simple conversion to do to the ea81 body styles. They give
better performance than the old ea81 engine, but obviously nowhere near
as much as the turbo motors. With it being the same size engine, compliancing
is very simple. There
is a multitude of choices to be made when considering an engine transplant.
You have the choice of the following engines and gearboxes. The turbo
charged motors have a multitude of differing HP out put levels. They range
from 135kw up to a staggering 230+kw.
All
these engines and gearboxes have variations from standard to STI. |
