Holcombe Emmanuel Church of England, Chapel Lane, Holcombe Village, Ramsbottom, BL8 4NB
The ancient Church was erected in the 16th century, but was taken down and the current building opened on 8 April 1853 dedicated to Emmanuel

St Andrew's Church of England, Bolton St, Ramsbottom, Bury, BL0 9JD
built 1832-4 as a Presbyterian Church (Church of Scotland) by the Grant family, also known as Grant's Church but after an unsettled existence in 1869 William Grant offered the Church to the Bishop of Manchester and donated $5,000, it was transferred to Church of England becoming a mission Church attached to St Paul's, Ramsbottom but eventually consecrated in 1875 as St Andrew's.

St Philip Church of England, Chatterton Rd, Stubbins, Ramsbottom, Bury BL0 0PQ
Consecrated Sat 27 May 1927, from 1906 to 1927 Stubbins had no Ecclesiastical building though there was a Curate, it was known as the Mission District up to 1925, and then the Conventional District for 2 yrs.

Stubbins Independent Congregational (URC 1973), Ramsbottom

In September 1861, Stubbins manufacturer James Porritt established a sunday school and preaching room at his mill and, with seven other members of Park, formed a separate church the following July 1862. The first pastor, Thomas Cain, was appointed in 1864, and served until 1906. A new sunday school building was completed in 1866, and the church building in 1867 The church building was demolished in 1983, but worship continued in the school until the congregation dispersed in 1990.

erected in 1836, known as Patmos Church from 22 Aug 1899 - has been demolished, the congregation moved to the Market Place Wesleyan.

From 1850 was part of the Bury and Heywood Methodist Circuit, from 1907 Bury I circuit, which became the Bury and Ramsbottom circuit in 1930's, see Bury Archives for records.
 

 

Non-Conformist Denominations - Presbyterian/Congregational

St Andrews Presbyterian, Ramsbottom.
A second St Andrews was built by the congregation that left the first St Andrews at the top of Kay Brow lodge. It was known as St Andrew's Dundee. It had a very beautiful steeple, but was demolished around 1926.
The congregation then moved to the Dundee Chapel at Tottington.
