CMP LINKS
(mostly)
Last update 5 August 2007
. Keith Webb's Old CMP Site is
just terrific. Keith knows everything there is to know about CMP trucks and he
and his mates have been collecting CMP photos for years. Not to mention
collecting the beasts themselves.
. Geoff
Winnington-Ball runs the excellent and interesting Maple Leaf Up discussion
forum which is heavily populated by CMP enthusiasts. He also has an great web
site on all sorts of Canadian WW2 military stuff which you can find by
following the links on the forum page.
CONVOY MAGAZINE . This magazine is dedicated to promoting and preserving Canadian military history, heritage and vehicles. I recommend it.
BEAUTY and the BEAST . Phil Waterman in the United States has restored both a Chevrolet C8A and a C60S radio truck. He also has found a No 12 cab Chevrolet C60L converted, it appears, to a 6X6.
.Eric Delcommenne is a
CMP collector and enthusiast who lives in Belgium.
SHEDFULLOFSHIT Howard Holgate from Ganmain in New South Wales owns this interestingly named site. He is happily restoring a Ford F15 and has an online diary about it's progress. He is also keeping track of the restorations of several of his mate's Blitzes.
JET POWERED BLITZ. This lunatic has strapped a Rolls Royce Viper turbo jet to the tray of his Ford F15 and takes it drag racing.
. Alex Blair of Ottawa,
Ontario, Canada offers superb reproductions of original military manuals
including a large number of CMP manuals. I have purchased a Ford CMP parts
manual and I can highly recommend the quality of the manual and of Alex's
service.
. The Australian War Memorial has a terrific site
with a searchable database of photographs, films and documents, etc. There are
lots of Blitzes or CMPs here if you want to search for them.
