Spoodles

A Spoodle is a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle (either Standard or Miniature).

The appearance can vary as the coat may be shorter like the Spaniel or woolly like the Poodle, with long, soft ears. The woollier the coat, the less hair is shed - but the coat will need clipping.

Colour is usually black or gold, and may have white patches. Tails are not docked. The best Spoodle puppies have the intelligence of the Poodle and the devoted, outgoing nature of the Cocker. We breed for health and temperament, but like all smart, active dogs Spoodles do need socialisation and obedience training, and should be included in family activities.

When Miniature Poodles are used the Spoodles are generally Cocker-sized dogs. When crossed with the larger Standard Poodle then the Spoodles will usually be smaller than a Labrador.
