A.C.A. Breeders Kennels has been breeding pure and cross bred dogs for over 30 years.

All modern pure breeds of dogs have resulted by crossing various pure breeds to develop different characteristics in breeds. Some of these changes have been beneficial and some have caused significant health problems in these breeds, such as flat faces causing eye & breathing problems, and distorted body shape causing back and leg problems. Over the years we have often been asked for breeds such as a "medium size dog with a certain coat type", and the range of pure bred dogs is quite limited.

We have chosen to cross several different breeds of dogs to create 'designer' breeds which will give owners more choice of size, temperament and coat and introduce the hybrid vigour of crossbred dogs. Crossing dogs with friendly, intelligent and loving natures gives a reliable indication of temperament, although as these breeds are not standardised, there may be variation in coat and size. We also continue to breed pure breeds. Some of these crosses, such as Spoodles, are well known and others, like our Groodles and Pug x's are new to most people.
