Welcome
to the Bulimba Group of the Australian Breastfeeding Association. We are sure you will find our group
meetings interesting, inspiring and informative. Going to a group meeting is a great way to
meet other parents and participate in lots of interesting discussion on
breastfeeding and parenting.
You
may be wondering how our group differs from other mothers’ groups. We provide
a supportive and non-judgemental environment where mothers with babies of
different ages and stages can share experiences and learn from each other.
Our aim is to provide you with both the latest information and the
experiences of other mothers so you can make decisions that are best for you
and your family. We avoid giving advice as we recognise that every family is
different and there is no right or wrong way.
With
so much conflicting information and advice surrounding breastfeeding and babycare, our meetings are a way to gain knowledge and
confidence. Our qualified counsellors are always there to answer any
breastfeeding questions or concerns.
Our
meetings are free for subscribers while visitors are welcome to attend a
couple of meetings before deciding to subscribe. Everyone is welcome no
matter what your background or whether or not you are actually breastfeeding.
So
come along and see what we are all about and meet other mums in your local
area. Bring your baby, your toddler, your older child, even your mum or
partner. Everyone is welcome. It
doesn’t matter if you are late. Come
along anyway and make some friends, learn something new and go away feeling
much better and confident about your mothering skills.

The Bulimba
Group of the Australian Breastfeeding Association is located in the eastern
suburbs of Brisbane.
We cover the suburbs of Bulimba, Hawthorne, Balmoral, Morningside, Norman
Park, Galloways Hill, Murrarie, Cannon Hill, Seven
Hills, Colmslie, Carindale, Carina, Camp Hill,
Coorparoo, Queensport and Doboy
- although anyone is welcome at our meetings.
We meet every fortnight at either Carindale Library or Bulimba Uniting Church.
