RBI is an entity comprising Simon Barrett
and Fleur Rondoni, who have been living together since 1988, and their various
animals and interests. We live in Perth, Western Australia, and at the moment
we share our house with three Great Danes (Alabama, Texas and Dallas) and
one cat (Pepper). The photo on the left was taken at Fleur's 30th birthday
which was celebrated with an authentic recreation of a medieval feast.

Use the links across the top to find out more about us. Recent events is designed for family and friends to catch up on what we have been up to. We used to send out a regular newsletter, but instead of receiving a lengthy email which they may or may not be interested in, people now just receive a note when news is added so they can decide whether to have a look or not. Simon and his mate Paul are avid brewers of beer. We reckon we are getting pretty good results using kits from homebrew shops with lots of extra bits and pieces. This is the most important part of this website. The rest is just stuff Simon does while waiting for the beer to be ready to bottle. Check out our methods or try some of our detailed recipes. We love Great Danes! We have owned four in total. Check out our thoughts on the gentle giants. Fleur loves Barbies! Have a look at a select few members of her collection of dolls. The RBI web master knows bugger all about html programing. If something doesn't work, takes ages to load, or looks crap, send us an email and he will try to learn how to fix it. He has an ADSL modem, and it may well be that he doesn't realise the stress his pages put on dial up connections. The first time you view these pages, they are slow to load, but if your computer system allows storage of internet files they will be much faster on a repeat viewing. Terms such as "Guinness" and "Kilkenny" are bandied about on the homebrewing page. Please don't sue us, we don't mean the specific commercial products, we mean "in the style of". Besides, our Guinness (ie Irish Stout style) has much more body and flavour than the watered down, mass market designed commercial version. This site is best viewed with ......a glass of homebrew in your hand. Probably a pale ale for the introduction, maybe a grainy Munich for browsing the Recent Events. If you are seriously into brewing and want to spend a lot of time reading through the brewing log, you will probably need a full bodied chocolate stout to keep you company. (Beer I know about, browsers, screen resolution, that sort of stuff I don't.) You are visitor number See the graph below for our site statistics. We get up to 10 brewing types looking at recipes each day.
