Dallas

Visiting Dallas at the breeder when he was about 6 weeks old.

His first morning at home at age 8 weeks.

Dallas wasnt too happy when he found out that until he was toilet trained and big enough to play with the other dogs he would be spending a lot of time behind a gate.

But he did have his personal giraffe print bed and stuffed toy to keep him happy. The stuffed toy has since been removed after Dallas ate his nose off.

Tex really wants to play and it takes all his self control to stay on the ground and play gently rather than running around trampling Dallas. In the background is a grumpy Alabama. Nobody asked if she wanted a puppy, and if they had she would have said a definite no. Shes too old for that stuff.

Tex bravely puts up with having his feet chewed.

Here is a chart of how much Dallas weighs. He has reached 32 kg at the age of 5 months. I tried fitting a third order polynomial to see how much he would weigh when full grown, but it didnt work. So best to check back here to see how heavy he finishes up. He is a bit small for a male, I would guess he will finish at about 70 kg.

At 4 months, Dallas was big enough to play with Texas unsupervised, without having to worry about him being squished. Tex is very gentle, lays down to make himself smaller, tries not to accidentally bite the puppy's head off.

Between 4 and 5 months old, Dallas' ears started flopping forward over his eyes. "How cute!" we said. "Actually not" said the breeder. If you leave them like that they will become permanent and he will walk into things all his life. So every couple of days, his ears get taped down so the muscles grow in the right direction. As you can see, Dallas is not happy about it.
