I am an enthusiastic collector of everything vintage and am particularly drawn to Barbie in this era (original and reproduction). The 50s and 60s woman appeals to me - she was glamorous, formal, mysterious, fashionable and feminine! So much attention and detail was assigned to appearance and this is reflected in the outfits and look of vintage Barbie. The introduction of the Fashion Model collection in recent years, along with reproductions of classic vintage Barbie allow collectors to appreciate the intricate tailoring, makeup and moulding not seen in modern Barbie. There is so much information available on the subject of Barbie and, therefore, I will not provide any on this page (see links to my favourite sites below). I am a selective Barbie collector, limiting myself to mainly Vintage (when I can afford it), Vintage Reproductions and the Fashion Model collection. Although I do have other dolls that have caught my eye over the years - anything that has an historical, artistic or popular culture reference. I am currently exploring photographing my collection and will use this page to showcase my efforts - I will update the images on a regular basis in line with my skills (hopefully) improving.
