Gotico Park Stud

Gotico Park is the largest Andalusian Stud Farm in Australia producing ten to twenty PRE, Purebred, Partbred or Australian Andalusian horses each year. We have bred most of our own mares and have purchased other quality mares form around the country, our stallions have been retained or selected to complement the top quality mares we use for breeding. When you purchase a horse from Gotico Park you know that many many years of breeding and selections has gone into producing the highest quality equine partner most people only dream about.

The P.R.E and Pure Spanish mares at Gotico Park have been chosen for their excellent Spanish conformation, superior breed characteristics, good neck sets, long sloping shoulder, short backs, clean straight legs, kind intelligent temperaments and elevated ground covering, flowing movement.

The Australian Andalusian Mares we have chosen and bred, to have good Andalusian breed characteristics, superior elegant elevated movement with good ground covering extended paces, kind natures and fantastic conformation.

Our Partbred producing mare are selected for good sound conformation, straight cadenced flowing movement and are a horse of superior quality to produce equestrian athletes for all equestrian disciplines. The breeds we like to cross breed with are Thoughoubred, Clydesdale, Pony, Standard bred, Stock Horse and Hackney. Our Partbred horses are very good moving equestrian types, with tremendously good conformation, suitable for showing, hacking, harness, dressage, eventing, pleasure riding and showjumping. They possess extremely trainable temperaments, highly sort after flowing cadenced straight movement and the reliability of the Andalusian breed.

Gotico Park is situated on the rolling hills of the Central Tablelands in New South Wales , Australia . Three hours drive west from Sydney and thirty minutes from Bathurst . The Stud overlooks the township of Blayney . The soil type is primarily Red Earth, derived from rich Volcanic Basalt rock. Gotico Park has cold, crisp winters and mild summers.

Gotico Park Horses run in herds were they learn natural horse sense, pecking order and respect. They grow and exercise on hills covered in rich cool temperate grasses and are supplemented with minerals. The horses are given protein rich feed when required, creating well grown, young horses with good muscle development and strong bones.

Our horses are well handled, tie up well and float easily. They have their feet trimmed regularly and are on a strict drenching programme. Breeding mares run in small herds, where they are paddock served or brought in for hand serving. Mares in their last trimester of pregnancy are supplemented with essential minerals and brought closer to the farmhouse for observation. As foaling time draws closer, the mares are monitored 24 hours a day and carry foaling alarms. All foals are foal imprinted at birth and are handled with Natural Horsemanship, this produces horses that are people friendly and have quiet easy going natures with excellent trainability.

Gotico Park's P.R.E. - Pure Spanish Horses have been inscribed and/or valorated into the Spanish Stud Book , administered by Jefatura de Cria Caballar y Remonta, Ministerio de Defensa, Madrid Spain, stud book keepers of the Pura Raza Espanola breed world wide.

Gotico Park horses are also registered with the Andalusian Horse Association of Australasia, studbook keepers of Pure Spanish, Partbred and Australian Andalusian horses in Australia , this registry is required for most Breed classes at horse show across Australia .

Gotico Park produces high quality, superb offspring, which go on to be Champions in Hand and under Saddle.
