The Legacy of Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy

Generally acknowledged as one of the greatest writers in any language, Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy (1828-1910) was also a very significant thinker, whose influence extended beyond literature to education and politics.

This web page is in the early stages of construction. It is envisaged that it will contain links to informative sites on the web, and downloads of electronic versions of Tolstoy's work. Initially these versions will be in English translation, but we hope to expand the selection to include original Russian versions and also translations into other languages. All of Tolstoy's works are in the public domain, and some of our downloads will be free, but when we have prepared and formatted attractive e-books for download we will charge a small fee for the service. In this way we hope to fund future publication of e-books containing Tolstoy's works. We may also undertake new translations of Tolstoy's works.

We hope you find this web page a useful stepping stone into the world of Tolstoy's work.
