Over the past several million years, Victoria has experienced
considerable volcanic activity. Whilst the mountains formed
aren't high the lava flows were considerable.
Rock walls to farmers fields throughout large parts of Victoria testify
to volcanic flows. In the distance is the Great Dividing
range
which is a much older mountain formation. Water levels are
low as
drought continues on, but signs of green appear in the fields from
recent light rains. Just to the North of Melbourne this is
lovely
country.
